恭喜發財! Happy Chinese New Year! Welcome to the Year of the Rabbit!
In honor of Spring Festival for this year, you may have noticed some changes to the graphical theme of this site (look at the background and banner). This theme will be up for the duration of Spring Festival, and perhaps for a little bit longer, so I hope you enjoy it, and have an opportunity to discover some of its hidden elements. Additionally, to help celebrate the first day of the festival, I posted up 6 digital still artworks from 2007 to the ‘art/design’ section of the site. Each one has a different theme and overall style, with some varying more than others. The pieces of digital artwork posted today are titled: waterpainting, pink and orange 2, melting of time, only true defeat, grid-eye, and dark in the fire.

Jan. 16, 2011 Art Update

Alright, it has been a while, but as promised, more artwork as been added to the ‘art/design’ section of the site. Two separate art pieces were posted today, both created back in 2007. The artwork posted today are titled: liquid sun particles and rayburst. Both pieces were created by compositing a number of different photographs in the program Adobe Photoshop. In addition to the compositing other design elements were added to the artwork. In the case of these images, these were created and added in Photoshop.
Thank you for your patience while waiting for some new posts to be made, and I hope that these two pieces of digital art will have been at least partially worth your wait. Regardless, stick around as more art will be popping up very shortly, and eventually some current creations and a few other forms of art will show up here as well.

Quick Update

Hello everyone, I hope the new year has been treating you well and that the rest of 2011 will bring you a ton of good things.
I just wanted to post a quick update to let you all know that I haven’t disappeared, and that some more updates will be here shortly. It’s been quite busy these last few months and time got a bit lost in the shuffle. So, anyway, I’m sorry for the recent silence here, and expect to be seeing some more artwork appearing here soon.
In the meantime, have fun and be happy.

Another still image artwork and design from 2006 has been posted to the ‘art/design’ section of the site. The artwork posted today is titled: cold frames. This piece was created using a Photoshop, and involved compositing a number of different photos all shot in the Hoover Dam area with each other and some small graphical elements which were also created in Photoshop.

Three of the first still image artworks and designs from 2006 have been posted to the ‘art/design’ section of the synapteknologies site. The artworks posted today are titled: untitled 11092006, untitled 0719200602, and untitled 0719200601. The pieces titled untitled 0719200602 and untitled 0719200601 were created using a combination of tools, including After Effects and Photoshop, and share some of the same graphical elements. untitled 11092006 was created by combining photos taken in different parts of the world, including China and the USA.
Beyond these three pieces, there is at least one more image from 2006 to come, possibly more depending on whether I decide any others are worth their inclusion on this site.

The first two still image artworks and designs from 2005, and actually the only ones that will be posted, have been added to the ‘art/design’ section of the site. The artworks posted today are titled: dreams made of light, and untitled 07312005. Both of these pieces are primarily built from a variety of composited photos as well some illustrated elements. Old Synaptek Site Archived

Well, the time has come. The old synaptek.nologies | level 12 site has now been taken down, and in its place stands this new site. While this new site is still undergoing development, refinement and optimization, the time came for the old website to retire.
